Guardians – a 2017 Russian superheo film, directed and produced by Sarik Andreasyan. The film publicised as “Russian Avengers”. But, let me tell you something – Never let that float around your thoughts. Never! The film is in no way comparable to Marvel Studio’s Avengers. The film was made on a budget of 5 million US dollars only, and we all know what amount have costs to make the first “Avengers” film.
Ok, back to the point. The story was average, old traditional story with some superheroic elements. It was more like – old wine in a new bottle. A good screenplay can make a simple story unforgettable, but in this case it was a disappointment. There were many plot holes, some of the scenes are so funny that you won’t find any scientific explanations for those. Actors are average. The Vfx works are not so bad, but the CGI characters are very low in quality. The Sfx / prosthetic works sucks.
